Important Note

I would like to remind you of the importance of properly removing all waste materials from the site. It is the responsibility of each exhibitor to ensure that everything is cleared away at the end of both the buildup and breakdown periods. This includes any waste left by your appointed contractor, as well as all, stand-fitting materials such as graphics, flooring, carpet/carpet tape, and packaging materials.

Please note that waste removal services are not available onsite. Therefore, it is the responsibility of each contractor to remove all work waste materials during and after the breakdown. Please be aware that general waste bins and skips are not provided within the halls.

Failure to remove installations and stand materials within the published time limits or disposing of them in an unauthorized manner at the venue will result in a waste disposal fee. This fee will be charged directly to the exhibitor in order to cover the cost of appropriate disposal.

Booth Build

1. Shell scheme

The official stand builder of the Shell scheme is Modern Line

The shell scheme will include the following items:

  • Facia Board
  • 1x Round table
  • 1x Waste Basket.
  • 1x Counter
  • 2x Spotlight
  • 1x Pin Electrical Socket

2. Stand build (Space Only)

  • All exhibitors building their own stands must submit a detailed scale (1:50) drawing, in duplicate of their stand to the organizers for approval at least one month prior to the show. The scale drawing must be with ground plan, elevation sketches, total stand weight, material to be used, and other necessary details.
  • Exhibitors and their stand contractors will not be allowed to commence the stand construction without approved and detailed drawings and calculations as mentioned in point (A) above. As such, an on-site engineering inspection will be carried out to define the conformity with RICEC's rules/regulations. Stands failing to comply with the RICEC Engineering requirements may be prohibited from participation.
  • No excavation, drilling, or fixing to the floor surface and/ or the walls of the RICEC is permitted. It is strictly prohibited to affix nails, hooks, tacks, screws, adhesives, paint, or similar items to the floor, walls, ceilings, or other parts of the premises or Shell Stand partitions. Drip Trays, sand, or wood chip must be laced beneath all machinery/ vehicles where there is any possibility of oil leakage.
  • Any kind of welding, soldering, spray gun painting, and grinding inside the exhibition hall is strictly prohibited. The cutting of iron, steel, wood, stone, marble, etc.. by electric machines is also not allowed inside the exhibition hall. Exhibitors/ stand contractors can use an electric high lifter inside the hall, diesel high lifter cannot be used inside the exhibition hall. Exhibitors/ stand contractors must comply with this rule, issued by (RICEC), in order to avoid the suspension of stand building by RICEC.
  • No part of any stand or exhibits including fascia, signage, lighting, corner posts, or other fittings should project into or overhang any gangway or adjacent stands. Neither should they obscure any fire or exit signs. Additionally, any display or other item attached must be not projected over the frontage of space taken by another exhibitor.
  • Exhibitors may not hang any display material from the ceiling, the columns, or the concrete walls of the building. Exhibitors are also not allowed to hang or place any display materials/ exhibits or any other items over or in the aisles of the exhibition hall.
  • The organizers shall not, in any event, be held responsible for any restrictions or conditions which prevent the construction, erection, completion, alteration, or dismantling of stands or the entry, placement or sitting, or removal of exhibits or for the failure of any services or amenities because of official requirements or third parties.

Booth Structure

1. Two Floor Structure (Double Deck)

Such stands may be built to a maximum height of 6 meters (including any name sign or trademark) Double decker stand construction is only permitted on Island sites

Double decker design submission guidelines:

  • Design calculation for beam-columns and base plate
  • Connection detail and design.
  • General layout and location of the structures.
  • Staircase details including handrail details.
  • Total load.

Staircases

  • All staircases must be at least 1 meter wide and if not subdivided by a central handrail, no more than 1.8 meters wide.
  • Each step shall have an available tread, measured on-plan, of 280mm; the risers between steps shall be unfilled and shall not exceed 180mm.
  • Any handrail(s) or balustrades must have vertical railings not more than 100mm apart or solid infill.
  • Staircases shall discharge to the ground floor at a point where unimpeded access to a public gangway is achieved.
  • If the occupants of the upper story have no choice but to exit by way of a single escape stair, the travel distance from any part of the story to that stair must not exceed 10 meters. A single staircase is acceptable if no more than 60 people will occupy the level served by the staircase at any one time.
  • All stand designs will be subject to the venue structural engineer’s inspection for health and safety compliance. Exhibitors must provide proof of suitable insurance for the organizers before construction can commence.

Other Services

1. Rigging

ensure compliance with workplace regulations, all rigging must receive approval from the engineering office prior to seeking organizer approval. This step is crucial in maintaining safety standards and ensuring a smooth workflow.

2. Hight Grading System

For space-only stands, the maximum heights for walls, display materials, etc must not exceed 4m.

A minimum of 2m from the perimeter of the stand Located as centrally as possible within the stand.

For shall scheme stands, the maximum height is 3m.
